The DNS service came out of the CDN's requirement for fast resolution. The AI platform capabilities came through acquisitions of Replicate and Outerbase.

The result is a single vendor spanning domain management, DNS, security, and performance optimization, which is the specific appeal for teams that prefer to keep all four in one place.
