No-IP

No-IP is a Dynamic DNS provider. Its DDNS service automatically updates a hostname when the IP address behind it changes, which keeps a home router, a remotely accessed security camera, or any similar device reachable after an ISP reassigns an address. The concept is simple and it solved a connectivity problem for millions of users worldwide.

What began as a free dynamic DNS service is now a DNS and remote access platform covering home security systems, small business servers, and enterprise multi-location networks. It combines managed DNS reliability with support for environments where devices move, addresses change, and networks need to stay reachable around the clock.

The company runs a global Anycast network with over 150 points of presence and describes its DNS services as delivering "100% uptime". The focus is on connectivity scenarios that traditional DNS providers often overlook: system administrators managing corporate firewalls, homeowners monitoring security cameras, and MSPs supporting clients with dynamic IP addresses.

No-IP has expanded into domain registration, managed email, SSL certificates, and network monitoring. As an ICANN-accredited registrar it offers domains with integrated DNS management that includes wildcard support by default, so mail and www subdomains resolve to the same location without additional setup. Domain registration starts at $0.01 for the first year on extensions such as .com, .net, and .org.

Indus Growth Fund took a majority investment position in December 2024. Founder Dan Durrer moved from CEO to CTO and Suchit Rout became CEO, with the stated aim of accelerating product development and strengthening the managed service provider (MSP) offering.
