Error 1005 appears when the visitor's entire network (identified by its ASN — Autonomous System Number) has been blocked. The site owner may have created a Cloudflare firewall rule that blocks a specific ASN, or Cloudflare may have flagged the ASN for widespread abuse. ASN-level blocking is broader than IP blocking — it affects everyone using that network provider.
A Cloudflare firewall rule or IP Access Rule is configured to block the ASN that the visitor's IP belongs to.
The network provider has been flagged for hosting significant malicious traffic, proxies, or botnets.
The visitor is using a VPN, hosting provider, or data center network that the site owner has intentionally blocked to prevent bot traffic.
Switch to a different internet connection (e.g., mobile data instead of WiFi, or disconnect your VPN) to confirm the block is ASN-specific.
Look up your current IP to see which ASN and network provider you are using.
Check Your IPLet the site owner know your ASN is being blocked. They can review their firewall rules in Security > WAF > Tools.
Check Security > WAF > Tools > IP Access Rules for any ASN-based blocks that may be too broad.
The site owner has blocked the visitor's IP address using Cloudflare's firewall tools.
Same as 1006 — the visitor's IP has been blocked by the site owner's Cloudflare firewall.
Same as 1006/1007 — the visitor's IP has been blocked by the site owner's Cloudflare firewall.
